Favicons

I wanted to use favicons that appear in the address bar for the several
sites I administer. Installed the lanugage in the head, constructed the
.ico to be 16X16 with low color res and added it to the root directory as
I have read. Result was that it showed up immediately in Opera but IE6
will not show it. After checking several known favicon sites like Radio
Shack etc, I found IE does not display any of them. Am I missing
something or is that not something that IE supports any longer?
 
Scratch the question. It's working. Probably forgot to bookmark first
before it appears in the address bar.
