Faulty Windows XP Disk

I was trying to upgrade from Windows ME to XP Home with
the upgraded disk for XP. It wouldn't load and kept
going into a loop. A neighbor brought down his XP Home
disk and it loaded fine. I used the KEY off of my disk
when I loaded the program. How do I exchange this bad XP
disk for a replacement? Will I experience any problems
from what I've done? The program is running just fine
now.

There will be no problems.
Both yours and your neighbors CD were the same.
The Product Key is the only difference.
If the CDs were different, the key would not have worked.

You could return Windows XP to the seller for an exchange or contact
Microsoft for a replacement:
