FATAL SYSTEM ERROR

When I last used my comp I ran Iolo's System Mechanic MAintenance wizard, and
at startup I have Registry Mechanic setup to run automatically. I come to
turn on my comp today, and at first it would boot to the xp screen, then just
restart...so I disabled automatic system restart on fatal system error...
here is what I got

STOP: c0021a (FATAL SYSTEMS ERROR)

The Windows SubSytem process terminated unexpectedly with a status of
0xc0000005 (0x80000000 0x0015fa28)

The System Has Been Shut Down

How can I fix this? Tried recovery console, but so far nothin works....

This is Exhibit #454,230 for why these types of programs should be
avoided. When it comes to the registry, if it ain't broke don't fix
it. Leave it alone! If you don't know enough about the registry to
locate and remove invalid keys manually, leave it alone!

Now you will spend far more time reinstalling Windows XP or even
fixing this problem (if you can, which is doubtful) then you ever
saved by removing an invalid registry key or two. Enjoy!

Incidentally, try System Restore and see if you can restore your
machine to its last good state before you ran Iolo. Maybe you can at
least restore your machine to where it was before it got trashed.
