Hi,

My Xp Machine crashed and i need to backup my Data before
formating the drive.

Unfortunetly the drive is a NTFS partition, and none of my
others systems sees the drive, beacuse they have win98,
with fat32 partitions,

Is there any Way of getting the date back, with the Xp
Hard drive conected as slave on my Win98 Machine

PLEASE HELP!!!

This is really urgent

Thanx so far

Good thinking to hook up your damaged drive as a slave in a Win98 machine.
You can obtain a DOS boot diskette that can 'see' NTFS partitions, and then
xcopy your data files to the Win98 hard disk.

I'm afraid that I cannot tell you exactly where to find such a boot
diskette, but you can one find one on the Internet by using a search engine.
Hopefully someone else with post with a URL to save you some time.

The free ReadNTFS utility from http://www.ntfs.com/products.htm will
do this very well, although it is a bit slow and cumbersome to
navigate through the folders to find the files you want.

It will copy the files to a FAT32 drive with no problem.

I have used it myself to recover file under similar circumstances.

Good luck
