Fat Taskbar

Taskbar is taller than normal and icons on bootm right stack on top of one another instead of side by side. I have gotten it back to the classic look and locked taskbar on the properties feature but it goes back to the taller version after I re-boot. You cannot resize by dragging the bar up and down it's either 1 inch tall or hidden.Help it is getting on my nerves!

First, unlock the Taskbar (right-click on taskbar, uncheck
"Lock the Taskbar")

Click and drag the separator bar over to the right of the taskbar.
(It's the separator that looks like four dots and then three dots
running side by side vertically). It seems to allow you do a double-
decker effect with the task bar. Once you drag the lower one to
the right of the taskbar, it allows you to resize the taskbar.

Try limiting the number of icons in the Quicklaunch area to just a few, by
dragging the gliders (short vertical bars) left or right. Then resize the
bar (while UNlocked).
