We Live For The One We Die For The One

From what i have read.

Does not make it faster, and genraly makes it crash more.

Though this was on Nvidia cards, is this the same for ATi and or 9600
pro cards ?

Ive got RivaTuner can turn fastwrites off in my BIOS, but RivaTuner
crashes BIG TIME when i try to turn off sideband :()

is their another program i can use to turn this off, as its not an
option in my bios ASUS bastards :)

Thanks.

Fast Writes does give a very small performance boost, but it also tends to
limit overclocking in systems that don't lock the AGP bus speed and can be
problematic on certain chipsets.

But current versions of ATI's Catalyst drivers have a SmartGart tab in
display properties that allow you to test whether it works on your system
and turn it on or off.

In addition to the tab, there's also a series of tests and options you can
try by going to start/run and typing SMARTGART.

Did that no sideband addressing though ?
