FastUserSwitching / AllowMultipleTSSessions

Please help with this as this is very annoying...

Even after turning on FastUserSwitching via Control Panel, the moment I go
to switch users on the Welcome screen, Windows is telling me that "...if I
continue, you will be logged off and all un-saved data will be lost...".

I even tried going to (START -> RUN ->) REGEDIT, updating
AllowMultipleTSSessions from 0x0 to 0x1, and then switching.

Whenever I go back to check on the status of the FUS box, it is always
unchecked.

This problem has been happening for about 7 days. I know of nothing that
was installed that could have caused this. I ran an audit and reviewed the
Event logs and it appears that WinLogon itself is resetting the value.

I tried uninstalling WinXP updates (from the past 7 days), trying a system
restore (which didn't work, by the way), and turning off NAV.

Please help as I'm (and other MS MVP's are) totally stumped.

One last note, after checking the FUS box, I am able to go back to my
desktop, then go back to the FUS box (via Control Panel) and re-check it - it
remains on. HOWEVER, I tried this same process in SAFE MODE. The moment I
check the box, and hit APPLY OPTIONS, and then get back into it...it is OFF.
(!@#$@).

Thank you for any assistance in this matter.

WOW....just saw that this problem I just posted has already had some
discussions on the same subject. Guess I didn't realize that I was in the
same forum". Sorry all....(but if anyone wants to chime in with help, I
won't stop you.)
