Fast User Switching suddenly doesn't work

Hi All - I hope someone can help me with this annoying
problem. I'm using an XP Pro machine with SP1. Until
today, I had been able to use Fast User Switching between
the 2 accounts on the PC. However, now whenever I try
this, the PC reboots :(((.

I CAN still get into the other account by logging off
first and then choosing the other account as normal

I've tried it from the other account and tried to switch.
I have also tried to create a new account. In all
situations the PC reboots rather than switches accounts


Any ideas anyone

Hi,

Have you installed any software or hardware recently before the problem
started?

Try system restore to the last date, when this problem was not there. To
perform system restore follow the steps given below:

If Windows XP starts
Log on to Windows as Administrator.
Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, point to System
Tools, and then click System Restore. System Restore starts.
On the Welcome to System Restore page, click Restore my computer to an
earlier time (if it is not already selected), and then click Next.
On the Select a Restore Point page, click the most recent system checkpoint
in the On this list, click a restore point list, and then click Next. A
System Restore message may appear that lists configuration changes that
System Restore will make. Click OK.
On the Confirm Restore Point Selection page, click Next. System Restore
restores the previous Windows XP configuration, and then restarts the
computer.
Log on to the computer as Administrator. The System Restore Restoration
Complete page appears
