Fast sounds

My computer seems to be running way too fast. All of the sounds are so fast and high pitched I can't understand them, such as "welcome to AT&T", all game sounds, even the sound the I hear when I click on something online is to fast. Also, the computer seems to be running faster. Can anyone help, please?
