FAST fails when I try to restore to the new pc

I am trying to restore the files and settings saved when
I ran files and settings transfer wizard. The process has
failed several times. I did a clean install with all
updates except sp2. it failed about 1/3 of the way
through the restore. I am only seriously concerned about
the email .pst files. I have read about FASTconv. does
anyone know how to use it?

Did you have SP2 installed when you ran FAST the first time?
 
No, I had all updates except sp2. In any case, I have now recovered the
files using data recovery software, so panic button is UP. thanks for the
help.
