why MSFT permits that false people signs like a real MVP
he/she are not into the MVP's roster
i believe that users can be confused about the opinions of this element
(male or female)

Antonio:
Comparto tu preocupacion.
Adicionalmente este NG se ha desbandado bastante ultimamente con la
presencia de trolls y gente pro-Linux anti-Vista.
Un abrazo.

Hi Antonio,

First of all, "MVP" can refer to a lot of different things and Microsoft has
no handle on the term. For example, in sports MVP stands for "Most Valuable
Player."

The list of MVPs at is not necessarily
complete since it's optional to list yourself publicly on that website.

Finally, Microsoft does not moderate these forums, so anyone can sign their
posts in any way they like.

It certainly can be confusing, but if you hang around a
group long enough you will soon see who's worth listening to
or not.

ha, it is very difficult for beginners tu distinguish between wise/ignorant
people
i just look this ng searching response to some doubts/problems i have with
Vista
really this ng needs asevere purgue cleaning useless responses, bad
propaganda ,bad suggestions/advises, trolls etc etc etc
leave apart the horripilant concept of speech freedom in this specific case.

Have a nice day,(afternoon for me)

Why not?, MSF is the boss and usenet and MSFT have their own rules
if my own groups are plenty of trolls, phanatics or blatant people why not
purgue their post ?

sadly this is a typical issue beginning with ms success since dos and win

Geez, how did you get to author a book and you don't even have enough
smarts to know that the vast majority of people access THIS and other
Microsoft newsgroups off of their provider's Internet access or via
some third party source and accordingly is totally beyond the control
or censorship of Microsoft?

Damn, the percentage of total dummies that post to these kind of
newsgroups (which this is) and PRETEND they know what they're talking
about in mind numbing.

As Adam Albright pointed out money people access this newsgroup thru their
ISP newsgroup servers and MS does not control them, if this was a pure web
forum they could delete and been trolls (many of which would just come back
with different ids and/or on different IP address) and take the flack the
newspapers, magazines and others world dish out for Microsoft's attempted
censoring of Vista critics.

Um, MS HAS censored posts from their servers many times. No one's
crucified them yet. In fact, they have also banned posters. Are you new
to MS newsgroups?

No she is MVP from 1999, i knew her posting at private mvp news
i was nominated in 1998 until 2006
i know MSFT policies in public ngs
we all know that is ver difficult to avoid bad people of all kind to post in
MS ngs
but in some cases a cleanup is done, perhaps a copy remain in google
in all cases there is an education, and etics problem

Then you would think that both of you would know that MS does censor
posts and ban posters.

Anybody dumb enough to say what your said gets labeled a dummy in my
book since the vast majority of people accessing THIS newsgroup and
others like it do so from a source other than Microsoft's server so
you basically are full of you know what.

They remove posts and ban people from using their servers. It stays on
Google almost forever and, like you said, is posted on other servers. I
didn't say it was intelligent censorship.

Microsoft can moderate/control posts on their own news server, but not
on the rest of usenet. Since the posts are propagated out to, and
accepted from, the rest of the usenet world, there is no way Microsoft
can control it beyond their own server.

*shrugs*

Such is the way of usenet. And yet, it works.
