Fake MS Email with corrupted file attached

R

RLT

This is the second time I received the following email. This is a very official looking email but it's a complete hoax.
Don't open the attached file, delete it immediately !

A file was attached that Norton Anti-Virus identified as containing a virus. Norton deleted the file and put a text file in it's place that said;

"Norton AntiVirus removed the attachment: Install43.exe. The attachment was infected with the W32.Swen.A@mm virus."

Couldn't find an MS email address to send this report to and notify them of the problem.

I'm sure they know about this.

MS never sends updates in the mail.

You did well just remove it. Keep your Virus definition up to date.
