I have a couple of programs in Add/Remove Programs applet that cannot be
uninstalled. It is pity that I do not have the original programs to
reinstall and uninstall them. Can someone have other idea to uninstall
those program and share with me.

Thanks,

Ray

You will have to "borrow" the programs again, from the person who supplied
you with the illegal software, to do a reinstall to the exact same location.
Then you can uninstall them.

One of the advantages of buying your software.

If you "lost" a lot of software - my condolences! This incident will teach
you the meaning of the word RESPONSIBILITY!

Drew,

The software may be useful for uninstalling software after installating
Total Uninstall. My scenario is different.

I understand your point but that is not my current scenario.

I bought Pinnacle PCTV card that comes with the software v2.5 about 2 years
ago and recently I replaced it with a more powerful TV card, ComproPVR. I
could not find out the original disk and Pinnacle has issued the latest
version 5 on its website. Under this scenario, I need a way to remove the
software that has broken uninstallation link.

"Try Reading - it's enlightening!"

Well Ray, if you can't uninstall, and don't have the CD to do a reinstall,
you are likely stuck!

The only other way is to search the registry and delete everything that
appears to be associated with Pinnacle. Not the best course of action as you
may inadvertently delete an item that is very necessary for the proper
functioning of the operating system.

Good luck!
