failure to boot into windows

Hi,

Having recently put together a new pc I find that after
installing all the relevant motherboard drivers and
utilities after installing XP Pro the system halts at BIOs
and will only boot into XP after a prompt by pressing the
enter key.

Any ideas please.

and will only boot into XP after a prompt by pressing the
enter key.

If the system is halting somewhere in the POST and is not booting an
operating system, the problem doesn't lie with Windows. Check all
cabling, reseat cards and RAM. Strip the machine down to only a video
card and RAM. Start again. You don't give system specs, so I can't
comment on them, but have you provided a strong enough power supply for
everything in the box?
