Failed to Update the System Registry...

I just installed a WindowsXP workstation. When logged in as my regular
login, I can run AutoCad LT and a terminal emulator but on start up, I
get the error "Failed to update system registry. Please try using
REGEDIT." I should note that I log into a Windows NT Domain. What do I
tweak so this error goes away when logged in as a normal user?
