failed to save local policy database

I was trying to set permission for user to access my
computer on a peer to peer network using Windows XP Pro
without using simple file sharing. When I try to add this
user under local security policy i get "failed to save
local policy database". Any suggestions?

You have a P2P Network and you want one to view your files?
Really, all you have to do is ensure you are both on the
the same Workgroup Name, enable Simple File Sharing on the
drive/folder in question(right click, scroll to sharing
and security), From there you should be fine.
