microsoft recomends in his support website how to start the existing windows
installation on the hard disk, after following these steps, windows xp
professional does not start, and keeps on rebooting while choosing any option
of key F8
what is the problem here ?

Is your version of win locked to the origonal hw, as would be the case with
certain OEM versions of win?
