Failed Domain Controller

Hi I have a small network-2 DCs. The 'secondary' DC has just failed-Hard
Drive issue. This DC was doing nothing but serving as a backup to the AD etc.
All roles etc are controlled by the remaining server. My question is can I
easilly promote a different server to a DC to continue having that redundancy
or will the missing DC cause a problem during dcpromo in which case i should
remove the failed dc first. thanks!

You will need to perform a metadata cleanup before bringing in another DC.
