Fail to install BCM 2007 (English) on Windows 7 64 bit (Danish)

H

Hans Jakobsen

I successfully installed Office 2007 including outlook, however when I try to
install the second CD with BCM 2007 it fails.

I first get a warning that there are compatibility issues and that I should
install SQL server SP3 before running it for the first time. However, even
though I choose continue, the installation fails later, so I never have the
chance to add SP3.

I found a log file in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL
Server\MSSQL.2\MSSQL\LOG" Which indicates there is a problem with the locale.
It is a Danish Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, but the user interface and format
(locale) is set to English (US).

Mixing locales is always fun.

Consider asking for help is SQL forums. I am flagging this for
followup/testing. Won't use Danish locale, but I can try a Russian
locale at least. :)

We may need to change the default locale of your SQL server.

Thank you for your answer. I have now successfully installed BCM. I found a
couple of more settings in Windows that I could change from Danish to English
and that did the trick.

Best regards,
Hans Jakobsen

Hi Hans,

Would you mind sharing those settings for future reference?

Thank you
