Using Win XP Home when I log onto the Guest account a small box comes up
which says Fail and has an ok button. Clicking on OK makes it go away and
it doesn't seem to cause any problem. Does anybody know what causes this?

Hi

The Guest Account is disabled by default. If you want to use it, you will have manually enable it via Control Panel>User Accounts. Why do you want to use the Guest Account?

The guest account IS enabled. But when I log on to it I get the error
message "fail" and, as I said, when I OK it it goes away and doesn't seem to
cause a problem. But I'd like to know what's causing it.

I also have this problem, I have not managed to solve it myself. I am interested to know if anyone can help me too.
