Factors affect speed in Npages in 1 Printing

I would like to ask the factors that would affect the speed
in N pages in 1 sheet printing

1. PCL4 (Emulate) & PCL6 with 45 scabable fonts

I would like to know will PCL4(Emulate) much slower than PCL6 with 45
scabable fonts ? If so , how slow ?

2. RAM
I just know that the amount of RAM will affect complex printing
but I am not sure how it affect the speed in N in 1 printing
and whether there is a real big difference in 4MB , 12MB , 18MB RAM

P.S. I am ready to buy Brother HL-1440 ( 14PPM , PCL4 ,18MB RAM)
but still considering Xerox P3210 (12PPM , PCL6+45scalable fonts , 4MB or 12MB RAM )

I often print powerpoint or PDF in 4-in-1 or 6-in-1 mode

Thank You Very Much
your information/comment would be very helpful to me

PCL4 print jobs will be bigger - worse compression, fonts have to be
downloaded for each size, ... . Other question is how fast processor is
used by a printer (in PCL4 data have to uncompressed before processing).

So one limiting factor is how much time you need to transfer data
throught parallel cable, other is how fast is printer's processor.
When I see PPM of mentioned printers, I think that processors are fast
enough.

There are again fonts that can be kept in printer's memory for future.
Other thing is that printer can receive next page when printing current
one. I think that memory twice bigger than size of bitmap page is
enough (3mb for 300dpi, 8mb for 600dpi).
