Every thing I have read so far does not give any information as to how to
block Facebook Beacon in IE7.

Is anyone aware as to whether Microsoft, or anyone else, will be coming up
with a fix so we can block this miserable advertising program.

IIRC Facebook will be changing this so that you can opt out.

Otherwise, tell Facebook what you think, and stop using it.

Nothing good can ever come from Facebook. Or Myspace.

The downside is that either can ruin your life. Forever.

Based on reading the technical FB Beacon articles, I believe that if
you log off facebook, delete the facebook cookies, and restart the
browser, Beacon should not be able to associate you with your facebook
user. The 3rd party sites will still be sending your actions to
facebook, but without association to your user. That's not a big deal
because all the online advertising sites do that already anyways, like
DoubleClick and Google Adsense.
