F1 - password protect

On my pc at work, I have the option at start up to press
F1 and change my password; on my new pc I don't and wish
to have my new pc protected! How to do this?

Bobbi, my post in this thread describes who to create a password in Windows
XP for your user account as opposed to Jupiter's instructions for creating
one in the system BIOS. Jupiter seems to have hit on exactly what you
wanted.
