F Drive?

When re-installing after a complete system crash that resulted in a new cp,
XP Home loaded and the hard drive got designated as the "F" drive. Is there
an easy way to change this to "C"? We cannot seem to get this computer to
accept SP2 and I suspect this is part of the problem, lots of script errors
for win32, etc then it goes black screen with SP2 in the top left corner.

I figure worse case scenario is reloading to another hard drive (carefully
checking drive designation!) then copy over needed files.

No. The system drive letter cannot be changed like the other drive letters.
Disconnect all drives except the primary drive and reinstall. This is a
common event when people have zip drives and other types on their systems.

thanks for the response. Sorry so late but it never notified me of the
response. We got that problem solved.
