In a fruitless attempt to fix IE's absurdly slow animated GIF display,
I installed the IE service pack 1.
1. It didn't fix the GIF problem.
2. It reset ALL my Photoshop CS configurations. Now, my finely-tuned
color settings are GONE, and I'm getting purple prints. WHY did MS
choose to do this while installing a totally-unrelated software
upgrade? It's not like Photoshop is a competing product? DId they
choose to destroy it just for the joy of it?

Your remarks in regards to this matter might be better directed to Microsoft
directly, as no one here is an employee of Microsoft. This is a peer to peer
newsgroup, and those who post responses here are volunteers. They give of
their own time to come to help others with problems where possible They do
not receive pay from Microsoft for their time helping here on the newsgroup.
If you would like to address your problem and a possible solution to
Microsoft, then you might follow the instructions below for posting your
suggestions or 'wishes'. I might add that a simple, well worded message will
get better attention.

It's VERY important that, for EACH wish, you describe in detail, WHY it is
important TO YOU that your product suggestion be implemented. A good wish
submssion includes WHAT scenario, work-flow, or end-result is blocked by
not having a specific feature, HOW MUCH time and effort ($$$) is spent
working around a specific limitation of the current product, etc. Remember
that Microsoft receives THOUSANDS of product suggestions every day and we
read each one but, in any given product development cycle, there are ONLY
sufficient resources to address the ones that are MOST IMPORTANT to our
customers so take the extra time to state your case as CLEARLY and
COMPLETELY as possible so that we can FEEL YOUR PAIN.
IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions).
