Vista Beta 2, build 5384
EZ Antivirus software
After install of EZ had blue screen crashes within 5 minutes.
After 4 crashes I uninstalled EZ
crashes stopped, maybe by coincidence
Anyone having similiar experiences???

I had same problem with P-cillion, removing it solved my problems. Then I
installed EZ (ANTI-VIRUS ONLY) and seems to work fine.

Hmmmmm

Yes, Vista was running fine until I installed EZ. Then, after I re-booted as
directed, it froze every time the desktop finished loading. In the end I had
to start in safe mode and remove it. It's been fine since but I must now try
another anti-virus program.

Yes, very similar. In my case the PC froze just after start-up and a blue
screen would probably have followed if I hadn't turned off. I've had to
uninstall in safe mode and will now try another AV program.

I have gone back to using PC Cillion anti-virus. Only installed the basic's.

Working OK.

But on a side note and may not have anything to do with anti-virus. If I
re-boot with my Wireless PCMCIA card plugged in the system freezes shortly
after boot up. But if I leave the card un-plugged boot up, then when boot up
finished plug the card in, all works fine.

Yes, I had the same situation. It gave me a blue screen during installation.
When the system rebooted it seemed as if the installation went OK but I had
the blue screens quite often. However, I also had blue screen whenever I
inserted a dvd or tried to access it. I am not sure whether they are related.
The same dvd worked fine in XP.

I do not have any virus software right now and I will check for blue screen
when I insert the same dvd. The dvd is for my backup and I left it open,
which may have something to do with the blue screen.

I had exactly the same problem!
I installed it 3 times having always blue screens after few min or sec.
I have been working ok without AV during several days.
Evidently it's a bug.
I notice that the blue screen will show up when the applications use memory.
I have 3GB RAM. If not doing nothing after the booting in the desktop,
Windows will be stable in a long period. Even I was able to surf the intenet
with IExplorer. But when using another more aplication: the blue screen crash
SUBITO!!!
Windows VIsta team must check it with the EZ team before recommending it as
the 1st option.
We also must reported it to them.
This is something that wil affect the test intention, since there is not a
alternative.
Also Symantec doesn't provide a Norton AV for Vista! I have the 2006 version
and is not upgradable!
