Extracting pictures from Powerpoint

I do not normally use Powerpoint but have been sent - by eMail - a series of
photos using it. Is it possible to extract individual pictures to keep them?
Right clicking on the set simply offers me the option me the option of moving
to a numbered pic in the series.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Open powerpoint - (I assume you have a full version and not just the viewer)

file menu > save as > change the 'file type' from presentation to JPG or
similar

complete the action of giving the files a name and saving them.

In addition to what TAJ has suggested and if all you want are the pictures,
and there happens to be text that you don't want with the pictures and you
do have the full version of PowerPoint, then use the Save As html option
which will put all your photos in their original condition into a folder for
you.

Thank you both for your response.

I have saved as JPEG but whatever I do Slide 1 as it is called shows an
empty frame - a blank picture. I am told that all the slides are included in
Slide 1 but that's as far as I can go.

As I said in my question, I don't normally use Powerpoint. My version is
include in my copy of Office Pro 97, a programme that has given me good
sevice for years and I have never been tempted to up grade, using Word only
for 90 something percent of the time. The save to HTML option is not offered.

Any more advice you could offer?

Regards,

H

In addition to what Steve has suggested If you know someone with either
PowerPoint 2003 or 2007 have them open the presentation and do the
conversion for you.
