I'm running a USB mic and a web cam into Moviemaker, to record solo
guitar performances. How can I extract the audio track to add reverb,
compression, and whatever else I want to do to it in another progream
(Audacity), and then put it back into the movie so that everything is
in sync?

tnx mucho

Drag the clip the the Audio/Music box (not the video box or the Audio box) on
the timeline. Click FILE / Save Movie File / My Computer / NEXT / Type in the
name and location to save the file / NEXT / Other Setting / Choose the
setting you want / NEXT. MM will save the file as a WMA which you can edit in
numerous audio editing software apps.

Unfortunately, Audacity does not seem to be able to edit WMA files. But
thanks very much for showing me how to export the audio track.
