Extract text from EPS-file?

Hi!

Is it possible to extract text from an EPS-file using .Net?

In this scenario, I need to process ads stored as EPS-files and extract all
text (for fulltext-indexing purposes). I looked into OCR, but that is too
expensive for this project (> 5000$).

Any help and pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Doing it manually I'd simply convert the EPS file to
a PDF (e.g. GhostScript) and then select the text
from within Acrobat to copy/paste into Notepad.
Indeed you can do the entire conversion within
Acrobat Pro (not sure if the free Reader has this
ability--I don't use it).

Even if you have to splash out for Adobe Acrobat
Pro it'd certainly cost a lot less than $5000 and can
be automated to a degree with the batch processor.
