Extract music from Slide Show

I am new to PowerPoint 2003 and this newsgroup which appears to be fabulous.
I received a slide show with some very catchy music and I would like to copy
the music only for my own listening pleasure.
Is this possible and if so, please give detailed and simple instructions.

Go to the File menu and choose Save as Web Page. If you save it as an
HTML (not MHT) file, then you will get a folder full of associated files,
including pictures and sounds.
