Extract multiple TAR files

David

Hi,

I've downloaded some compressed files in TAR format.
They are named as: name.tar.000; name.tar.001 and so on.
I don't find any application that allows me to extract this multiple tar
files.
Anyone knows anything about it?

Thanks.

Get yourself a copy of 7zip or Winrar.

Hi,

I would get there if it was that easy.
The problem is that none of those apps is able to extract the files.

Then the .tar (tarball) archive may be corrupt. You do realize that generally
tarballs are used for Linux/Unix, right?

Anyway, maybe you're using Winrar incorrectly. The way I would attempt to
extract them is to *highlight them all* in Windows Explorer, then right click
and 'open with' Winrar. Once Winrar opens then click 'extract to' and if an
error occurs please post back here specifically what it is.
