Extra folder in Docs and Settings

Recently, I found that in my Documents and Settings there are folders
<Administrator>, <Administrator.Ilya..> and <Owner>. I use the <Owner>
folder and directory. Where the <Administrator.Ilya..> folder came from? Do
I need it? Can I safely delete it?
Any suggestion is appreciated.

Folders named in that fashion can appear on computers that are connected to
a domain. The ones with the .xxxx at the end are the "roaming" profiles.
(Get rid of the trailing dots at the end by using Details View and widening
the Name column.)

When this naming convention appears on a home machine it usually is the
result of installing Windows into the same folder. A variation of a repair
install that creates some new folders instead of repairing and utilizing
the old ones.

If this is the case, you need to figure out which set of folders are the
active ones. Usually it's the set with the .xxxx at the end. One way to
find out: While logged on with the account you normally use, click Start,
click Run and type %userprofile% into the run box. Click OK. Windows
Explorer will open to the current user account's folder.

Once you know which set is the working set, you can grab data out of the
"old" folders. Move data to the current folders. Then delete the old
folders.

If you run into trouble trying to open data files from the old accounts
folders, see "take ownership" in the XP Help file.
