Extra Contact folders

J

JLH

When I open the address book via one of the buttons for looking up addresses,
there is a choice of: Outlook Address Book (which is empty) and three
separate files, all named Contact and all having the same Properties. The
first two are empty, the third one contains my main list of contacts (but not
the subfolders of this list). What can I do to get rid of the two empty
Contact folders? I have changed it so that it looks for the correct Contact
list first, but I’d like to delete the other two or, at the very least, be
able to rename them so as to avoid confusion. I don’t seem to be able to do
either.

Answer posted many times and depends on your version, which you failed to
post. Find one of the many posts here that match your version.

I am using Outlook 2003. I would appreciate any helpful guidelines you can
give.

Just remove the incorrect listings here:
Tools > E-mail accounts > View or change existing directories or address
books > Outlook Address Book > Change… > Set

There are three items there, all with the same title. How will I make sure I
save the correct one and get rid of the other two I do not want?

Thank you for you help to this point.

Just take a guess. If you remove the wrong one, add it back and delete the
other.
