external USB HD visible only to Administrator

Hi,
I have installed an external USB hard drive on an XP professional
box. This is only visible when logged in as Administrator. What do I
need to do to make this visible to all normal users?

Thanks,

Bob

one way, mount the USB drive on some folder and change permission on the
drive itself and the folder accordingly
another way, go into computer admin, disk management and assign the USB
drive to some fixed drive letter and then change the property , security.

I am writing form memory, so I am not 1005 exact in the method

I tried all those things without luck. Finally had to give the 'user'
Admin priveleges, have him log in and set priveleges as the 'user' with
Admin priveleges then remove the Admin priveleges from the user. A very
long way around. I felt that I should have been able to do everythin as
Administrator and been done with it.

Anyway, it finally works as needed but far too cumbersome.
