I quite like these all metal boxes.

I have the single bay HD USB 2.0 unit without the mobile rack feature. This
has an external in-the-cable power supply but I'm not sure about larger
units. The base and top are 2.5mm black anodised aluminium plates and the
sides are silver and blacl anodised aluminium extrusions. They are big
enough to take a DVD drive so a 3.5" HD fits easily using standard adaptor
plates. There is a header on the PCB so you could fit your own HD activity
LED but no data is provided on this with the box. I sent an email to ask
what the header was for and got a reply next day.

When fitted with an HD you use a blank brushed aluminium front panel
(supplied) which seals the front. With this fitted I couldn't see where the
air would go in and it has a fan on the back blowing out. The unit has some
smart turned aluminium feet to keep it clear of the desk so I drilled some
10mm holes in the bottom plate between the front two feet. Now air goes in
at the front/bottom, up over the drive and out the back. It keeps my 120G WD
drive nice and cool.

I live in Belgium and got mine from their German agent
