external trusts

I have 2 domains on Windows 2000, 1 is external and the other is
internal (behind a firewall). I would like to create external trusts
between these domains. what specific ports do I need to open on my
firewall for this to work?

There are a few, this kb lists them all. The best bet is to enable a VPN
through the firewall as this requires less ports to be opened.
