Hello,

I'm not 100% sure if this is the right group, so feel free to redirect me if
needed.

A non-Exchange shared hosting account provides email hosting for a certain
domain name - "domain1.com". A separate organization has an internal Exchange
setup, with an external domain name of "domain2.com". Bob Smith
([email protected]) sends an email to Joe Bloggs ([email protected]). Joe
receives the email, hits "Reply" in Outlook, then double-clicks on "Bob
Smith" in the "To..." field, clicks on the "E-mail Addresses" tab, and sees
the following:

smtp:[email protected]
SMTP:[email protected]
X400:c=US;a= ;p=localdomain;o=Exchange;s=BOB;

Can anyone explain what is going on?

Thank you very much.

microsoft.public.outlook.contacts or microsoft.public.exchange.admin might
have been better.

Joe is in the Exchange-based domain, correct? That looks to me like a
typical GAL entry for a person when viewed from the Exchange side of things.
What other tabs do you see in the dialogue?
