External Remote Desktop Access

While at home I can RDC back and forth between both the Vista & XP Pro PCs -
no problem. When I try to acess them remotely from my office via a Public IP
I can connect to the XP pro (which is set in the router port forwarding as
port 3390). I have the router set to 3389 for the Vista machine. Both boxe
have static IPs.

All works fine internally.
Externally I can access XP Pro.
Externally I cannot access Vista.

I read an article that somebody stated a conflict between IP6 & IP4??? I
disabled IP6.

No go so far.

Any ideas?

Thx JP

There is also a working remotely newsgroup.. that may have MVP's about RDP.

I have been rdp'ing with vista from when it was released with no problem.

Its probably your firewall since you have port forwarder through your
router.

Disable firewall and check, if it works then its your firewall settings.

I didn’t ever need to disable anything and it has worked.
