External modems period.

Hey there.

I've got a problem setting up external modems in winxp.
it's the 'second' ext mod that windows is not installing.
I c the lights on the modem go on and off when windows
is 'looking' 4 new hardware( or modems) but right after
the lights go off, the hardware wizard tells me that it
did not detect any new hardware (or modem).

plz tell my y?

Is the modem you are trying to install based on a USB port or a COM port?

Does your Windows XP find any COM port?

Second...when making corrections, try not to look a fool and give
