External modem

I have an external ISDN Modem at home and when away from home I use the
internal modem in my laptop.
I have set up as I did with 98 so that I have 2 different logons available.
When I boot my laptop away from home it changes the ISDN logon to use the
internal modem...probably becasue it can't find the ISDN modem...so when I
get back home I have to reinstall the ISDN modem.
Is there a way of locking the ISDN logon so that it keeps the ISDN modem
instead of being modified by XP?

Instead of making two separate logons for your connections, use one
logon and the alternate network connection ability of XP. See this link
for more information:

If you have more than two setups to configure, use third-party network
management software (very inexpensive):

http://www.netswitcher.com - NetSwitcher
http://www.globesoft.com/mnm_home.html - MultiNetwork Manager
http://www.mobilenetswitch.com - Mobile Net Switch
