External Hard disk will not show

I have a 200Gb external HD in an aluminium case with a USB connectiuon. I
have succeesfully used two previous ones. However, this one giuves every
indication that it has been seen by Win XP, but after that nothing, no icon,
no window. I have had the same result on three computers. Can anyone suggest
what is the problem here?

Hi there Quillhar,

You might want to check in the Disk Management console. Right click on
Start>Click on Manage, then click on the + next to Storage, then click on
Disk Management. If you see the drive in there, you may need to Initialize
it, format it, and assign a drive letter. For more info, click here:
