When I worked with my WinXP prof suddenly the following error message dialog appears:
You have exceeded your profile storage space. Before you can log off, you need to
move some items from your profile to network or local storage

How do I enlarge my profile storage space ?

Hmm. I've never seen that message before. Are you on a domain? What do you
see in your event logs?

Even if you're not on a domain, I personally don't like to use the default
profile folder(s) for data storage...I create a local folder called DATA or
USERNAME and redirect My Documents to it (properties of Mydocs on the
desktop).

You've run into your disk quota. If you are on a domain, you will need to
contact the domain administrator to see if they *will* increase the quota.
There is likely nothing else you can do to increase this: You may need to
shovel stuff out to make room. Zipping files will not help as Windows
looks at the uncompressed size.

If you are not on a domain and your local disk is formatted NTFS, go into My
Computer, and right-click on the drive. Choose Properties, then click on
the Quota tab. You'll see the options there.
