Extending a volume/dynamic-basic disk

Ok, I've run into a problem here. I've got a compaq smart array 532. Everythings updated on the array. I've curently got 3 32 GB disk in a raid configuration. We were starting to run out of room, so we got another 32GB disk. I expanded and extended the array. then I go to extend the disks, but the disk are setup as basic, so its not suported. Ok, I upgrade the disks to dymanic, then discover that it still won't let me extend the volume because the disks were origionall created as basic. Now i'm stuck. I've got a 10 GB boot partition and the other partition is the file data. So, now i'm stuck. I don't want to have to redo the volume with the data on it if i an help it. Anyone have any ideas about how to remedy this problem? any help would be greatly appreciated

Yes, you are stuck, there are - as far as I am aware - no tools to extend a
dynamic disk that previously was a partition on a basic disk. Norton Ghost
is said to work, in order to create an image. Another option would be to
backup, delete and recreate the volume with a larger size and then restore.
This would enable you to extend it next time, as the volume now would be
created on a dynamic disk.

If you hadn't converted to dynamic, diskpart.exe could have been used on a
basic disk to extend a partition.

Best regards
