Extender Problem

[Ughhuh]

When Anti-Spyware is turned on, my Linksys Extender will
not allow network communications between my PC and my TV-
Audio system. The Extender software is by Microsoft, so
it surprizes me it won't work. Anyone know how to solve
this problem?

"There is an incompatibility between Windows AntiSpyware (Beta) and Windows
Media Center Extender. If you install Windows AntiSpyware (Beta) on a
computer running Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005, Windows Media Center
Extender cannot establish a remote connection. If you want to connect to a
Windows Media Center Edition 2005-based computer by using Windows Media
Center Extender, uninstall Windows AntiSpyware (Beta)."

Shutting down Microsoft Antispyware is the workaround for this issue.

Here's hoping for a change with beta2.

Right. This is, I believe, the first "known issue" posted at the download
site, and the subject of a KB article:

(and near and dear to the heart of Steve Dodson--I'm sure they'll fix it...)
