Extended Partition

My computer came with 4 partitions. One is primary which is fine. The other 3
partitions are set as extended partition. My questions is, is there any way I
can merge the extended partitions without re-installing the operating systems.

You have the option of 'starting over' or using a program like Partition
Magic to realign your partitions

You will need third party software to do this. Partition Magic is one of the
most commonly used programs for doing this but there are others.

The program "Partition Magic" claims to have a merge partition function, but
even without it you can do it anyway, provided that your "Windows" folder
resides on C:. If this is the setup, and it likely is, save all data on D:,
E:, and F:, partitions to optical or removable media, then delete them and
recreate one logical partition in that space. Then copy your data back. You
can do this using Control Panel->Administrative Tools->Computer
Management->Disk Management. All data remaining on the three prior logical
partitions will be lost to you.
