When I goto device manager I see the ext. drive but when I goto My Computer it only shows the two int drives. The system saids that the drive is working right.
Right click on My Computer and select Manage. On the following screen,
click on Disk Management.
The drive should now show up on the right hand side of the screen, from
where you can partition it, format it and assign it a drive letter. No
version of Windows can see an unformatted drive.
