I would like to establish an unbound box using Expression Builder to create a
job order where the first four characters are in Upper Case based on the
names of different hotels in the "Hotel" field which is a drop down list.
e.g. The Carlton Hotel would be "CARL"- the remaining four digits a
sequential number (e.g. 0001, 0002,) irrespective of the first four uppercase
letters. A second hotel, the Smithson would be "SMTH" and so on. In addition,
I would like to put on a suffix letter on the end to indicate the year. e.g.
2005 = "A", 2006 = "B" and so on. The whole number, a unique job code would
look like "CARL2154A". Any ideas how to do this please?
