Exporting Outlook Calendar

Hello,

My boss has asked to have his Outlook calendar exported to Word. I have
done this by exporting first to Excel. However, he does not want a data file
format. He wants an actual calendar setup in Word, with the boxes and dates,
etc., just the way it looks in Outlook.

From my research, it does not appear this can be done. All the export
options seem to be data files of one form or another (Access, Excel, etc.).

But I wanted to pose the question just to make sure.

Thanks,

Does your boss want to interact with the calendar? For example, do they want
to be able to type a note?

If not, a simple solution may be to just provide a screen shot of the
calendar and then paste that image into an Office Word document. Set up the
view in Outlook that they want to see, then either press the PrtScn (or
variation) key or Alt+PrtScn on your keyboard. The first captures the
entire display you see on your screen to the Windows clipboard, the latter
only the window (in this case Outlook) that is active. Then in Word, press
Ctrl+V to paste the image.

It will just only a picture of the calendar, but if all your boss wants is a
visual representation that closely matches Outlook, this might be a fast
solution.

If you're using Office Outlook 2007, there is another way to get a clean
representation of the calendar, although not with the layout and boxes that
you mentioned. In Calendar, in the Navigation Pane, use the Send a Calendar
via E-mail command. After defining how much of the calendar to include, a
text representation of the calendar will appear in a new message body. You
can select the entire body, or any part of it, and then press Ctrl+C to copy
that information to the Windows clipboard. Just like above, in Word, click
Ctrl+V to paste the contents into your document. It won't be the same
visual representation that you see in Outlook, but it will let your boss see
his or her appointments and free times.

I hope this gives you a few possibilities.

Have him use one of the Word templates here:

or "Outcal" are two of them mentioned.
