exporting excel database to outlook contact list

Using MS Office 2000, can I transfer a database in Excel
to my Outlook (not Express) contacts folder. Nothing
fancy, just general information to keep on file (name,
address, phone numbers, e-mail, webpage). I tried to do
it and keep getting an error message reading 'error
occurred in the script on this page.'
 
Save the files a CSV and use the import from Outlook
