Exporting and Importing addesses in Outlook XP Question

Hi:

Running Win XP home, Outlook XP and Outlook express 6. I would like to be
able to export (and if needed import) my contacts. However when I click
import/export (in XP), I am given the option for exporting to a file format
which is not outlook.

I'd like to be able to export my contacts (email addresses) if just for
backup. I'd also like to import these addresses into express, but can't
because I don't know where the address file for outlook xp is kept (I did a
search for *.wab files but couldn't find any).

So is there anything I need to do in the configuration to allow this
export/import to happen? I've tried reinstalling office XP to see if that
would solve the problem and it did not.
